Don’t Miss the Window of Opportunity—Major Changes Are Coming to Estate and Gift Tax Law. Big changes are coming—and time is running out.
Description
While most taxpayers currently aren’t affected by federal estate taxes, that’s about to change. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) is set to expire at the end of 2025, cutting the unified estate and gift tax exemption roughly in half. This shift could leave many high-net-worth individuals and families exposed to new estate tax liabilities.
But there’s still time to act.
This timely, expert-led webinar will walk tax professionals, advisors, and estate planners through the upcoming changes—and show you how to take advantage of current provisions before they vanish.
🎓 Session Highlights
This session highlights the federal tax issues associated with estate and gift tax issues. Under current rules, few taxpayers are subject to the estate and gift taxes given the doubling of the Unified Tax Credit (UTC) by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. But the UTC is due to return to the pre-2017 figures adjusted for inflation in 2026 as TCJA sunsets at the end of 2025.
But the prospects of TCJA sunsetting is but one issue to be aware of. There is sentiment by the president and some in Congress to reduce the UTC even further. Hence, tax planning before 2026 is something that tax professionals need to be discussing with their clients.
With the IRS announcing increased estate and gift tax exemptions for 2025—and a potential sunset of the lifetime exemption looming in 2026—this year represents a critical turning point for high-net-worth individuals, families, and advisors.
If you're planning to preserve wealth, minimize future tax liabilities, or guide clients through optimal strategies, this expert-led webinar will give you the actionable clarity you need to make smart moves—before it's too late.
